How to Unpack and Repack the Buttons File

    can't tell too much...

...but I will tell you this:

UNPACK: java -jar ntrkwizard.jar x buttons data\.
REPACK: java -jar ntrkwizard.jar a buttons data\.

THE CATCH: you need a filelist that includes all the data in the buttons file or you will end up repacking a file with missing data in it.

There are 2 ways to get an updated filelist, one is to kiss Modsters' ass, and the other one is to compile it yourself, but I won't tell you more than that or I would really make cheating too easy.
All I can do is show you an old filelist so you can try and figure out where to get the missing data and how to type those lines properly.

However: while fiddling with the buttons file can be fun and educational, flooding the modding community with a lot of buttons files is certainly a bad idea.
Why? Because there are too many buttons files available already, and that fucks up compatibility.
In a perfect world we would all use one and the same buttons file, but in our imperfect world all we can do is to try and keep the number of available buttons files as low as possible, so please don't make any custom buttons files available for download, and of course don't use them on line.

If you come up with some *good* changes and you have tested that they work and dont fuck up anything else, consider asking one of the major communities to include your changes in their next buttons file (I know, that makes their monopoly even stronger, but in this case online compatibility is more important than any "modding freedom" ideals)
